Both players have BBL experience, while David has been capped internationally by Singapore
Nick Winter and Tim David are the latest players to have signed for Hobart Hurricanes ahead of the Big Bash League.
Winter is a left-arm bowling option and has the ability to swing the ball early in the innings. This was a key reason why Hurricanes head coach Adam Griffith has him In the squad.
“Nick is a skilful left-arm bowler who has the ability to swing the new ball and take wickets in the power play.
“He is also developing his variations to become more effective through the rest of the innings,” Griffith added.
The 27-year-old has previously played in the BBL for Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers; he is currently contracted to the South Australian Redbacks.
David, who is an allrounder, makes the switch from Perth Scorchers and can clear the ropes in the middle overs or at the death. He also bowls handy off-spin.
He has also played cricket for Singapore and is one to watch in the field.
“Tim is a hard-hitting middle order player that can also give us an over or two of off spin, particularly in the power play,” Griffith said.
“He showed some signs with the Scorchers of his power and ability, and hopefully with some opportunity with us to finish off our batting innings will show his full range of skill.”
