The 2018-19 champions' squad continues to take shape, with two more players joining their roster ahead of the new campaign
Melbourne Renegades have added two more players to their squad ahead of the 10th edition of the men's Big Bash League.
Josh Lalor and Jack Prestwidge have both arrived after spells at Brisbane Heat.
Left-arm seamer Lalor, 33, has spent the last five seasons with Heat and has also represented Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers.
Across 48 outings in the competition, he has taken 53 wickets, including a hat-trick against former employers Scorchers.
"Playing under Michael Klinger and Aaron Finch is a huge carrot," said the New South Wales native.
"They’re two guys I have never worked with before but have had so much success, that’s exciting and I look forward to doing what I can to contribute.
"I’ll fit in somewhere in the middle learning from Kane Richardson and James Pattinson and passing on knowledge to others where I can."
Prestwidge is considered as an allrounder and played 10 times for Heat across the last two campaigns taking nine wickets and scoring 14 runs.
"It has been a big couple of months with the move to Melbourne and I’m really excited about the opportunity at the Renegades,” he said.
"It’s a strong squad and there is plenty of competition for spots but that will bring out the best in each of us and I’m looking forward to getting started."
