Indian Premier League 2021 squads: Full player list for new IPL season

The 2021 Indian Premier League player auction will take place on February 18, organisers have confirmed.

The eight teams will complete their squads for the 14th edition of the competition in Chennai.

It comes the day after the scheduled end of the second Test between India and England.

Last week, each franchise released their retained list, keeping hold of 139 players in all.

Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch were among the players released by their respective sides.

Sixty-one berths remain to be filled for the tournament, which is expected to return to its April-May position in the calendar.

It remains to be seen whether the competition will return to India after the delayed 2020 edition was held behind closed doors in the United Arab Emirates in October and November.
