The Hundred: Full squad lists

Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan and Tom Banton lead the latest batch of signings ahead of the inaugural edition of The Hundred.

Bairstow and Banton, as well as Ben Duckett, have all been retained by Welsh Fire, while Malan – the leading T20I batsman in the world – will remain with Trent Rockets, where he was picked up for just £40,000 in the 2019 player draft. This retention window, however, means that players have been able to negotiate moves up and down the price bracket list.

Malan will be joined at Trent Rockets by Nottinghamshire trio Matt Carter, Tom Moores and Steven Mullaney, who have all been re-signed by Stephen Fleming’s side.

Oval Invincibles and London Spirit have both confirmed the retention of overseas players as well; Sunil Narine will remain with Tom Moody’s team, who have also kept hold of Jason Roy, Alex Blake and Nathan Sowter.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Nabi have been re-signed by Lord’s-based London Spirit. They have also announced retention deals with former England seamer Jade Dernbach, wicketkeeper Adam Rossington and Derbyshire allrounder Luis Reece.

Southern Brave have re-engaged Lancashire wicketkeeper Alex Davies and Somerset leg-spinner Max Waller, while Northern Superchargers have retained Yorkshire pair Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Adam Lyth.

Joe Clarke and Phil Salt, both of whom have spent their winter on Big Bash duty, will represent Manchester Originals, with Clarke – who enjoyed a terrific T20 Blast in 2020 – perhaps looking for a higher price bracket than his initial £40,000 pick.

Benny Howell, who has also been in Australia representing Melbourne Renegades, has been retained by Birmingham Phoenix, alongside Middlesex seamer Tom Helm.
